Are Nail Trims Necessary?

​For indoor cats, a scratching post usually allows daily self-maintenance. However, if your cat tends to sharpen his/her claws everywhere in your house, you will need to trim your cat's nails every 1-3 months to avoid them getting caught on furniture, materials or even yourself! 

As cats age, they become less active. In that case, it is important to trim their claws which can get longer, curve inward and penetrate into their pad, which can lead to an infection.

If you need assistance with regular nail trims, Kristin's Kitty Care will happily arrange to come to your home on a regular basis. The cost is $35 per kitty
